In the novel Schooled, by Gordan Korman, the extraordinary character, Capricorn Anderson experiences many changes. At the beginning of the novel, Cap’s grandmother, and home school teacher, falls out of a plum tree so Cap has to go to an ordinary school. At first Cap is bullied because he has lived on Garland farms which is a foundation for hippies, who live there life like they did in the sixties. But he then becomes the most popular kid in school by a few exquisite affairs.
Initially, Cap is picked on by Zach Powers and his friends.When he starts school Cap is by far the weirdest kid in school so they elect him school president to make him look like a fool. While they are doing this Cap has no idea of what's going on. For instance Cap says “ I shouldn't be president, l-I don't know anybody's names”. Zach and his classmates are tormenting him to make his year miserable. This changes Cap by helping him learn that the real world is very challenging. …show more content…

Rodrigo's life. On an everyday bus ride home, Mr. Rodrigo groans, and falls out of his seat while the bus is moving. Noticing this right away, Cap leaps out of his seat and drives the bus straight to the hospital where Mr. Rodrigo will get medical attention. Cap said “ There’s no time for an ambulance.” So if he had stopped, then Mr. Rodrigo would have died. After Cap saved a life, all the students thought he was a hero and he gained more popularity. In addition to this, during first period, Cap held a class with the art teacher, Mrs Agnew, on how to tie dye your clothing. Over the PA, they announced “Those students interested in tie-dying with the eighth grade president Capricorn Anderson should report to the art room.” Common students in C Average Middle School had taken this chance to get out of class and it was all thanks to
