Capulet and Friar Lawrence are prominent supporting characters contributing to Romeo and Juliet's death. Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare start in fair Verona, a village in Italy. Two families go against each other in many ways, but the two main characters from each family want to end the feud. However, End themselves in the process. It was not just their fault; Capulet, Juliet's father, was a big reason why they died because he did not listen to his daughter Juliet. Capulet does this by not listening to Juliet and pushing to marry someone at a young age (she is not fourteen. How long is it now to Lammas-tide? A fortnight and odd days.) (1.3 15-17). He thought he knew her, so he pushed Juliet into marrying Paris even though she would permanently deny him. The friar Lawrence was too quick about things and helped too much. He got their trust quickly by promising that marrying them would fix the family’s conflict, but it led to risky ideas that could have been dodged. So how quickly he wanted to marry them was a wrong decision that turned them down a path that only went down if he did not marry them so quickly. Paris would have married Juliet in a few years, and Romeo and Juliet would have never happened because they would only be dating, so Juilet would be less defensive over marrying. She would probably marry him, and there would be no story. However, the frier did the opposite by doing too much, and the things he was doing was too risky. The
