Career Research Paper: Nursing Why settle for a job that’s boring? Don’t you want something more rewarding? Then a career in nursing is what you should be exploring! The career I am going to write about in my research paper, is a career as a Registered Nurse. A Registered Nurse is a nurse who graduated from an accredited nursing program and met the requirements outlined by the country, state, province or similar licensing body, in order to obtain a nursing license. Due to the absence of Catholicism within America, the nursing field was not comprised of nuns like it was in other countries. In addition, many of the hospitals that were created in the United States were largely quarantined, because of the fear that diseases will spread to the wealthier population. In addition, the cite states the duties of a nurse. Nurses record patient history, analyze test data or images to infer diagnoses, examine patients through general assessment. Nurses often work twelve hour shifts, and the salary varies depending on where you are. However, I want to be a Nurse in New York City, and as shown on Glasdoor.com, in New York City, nurses make about 75,232 on average. Although I believe that being a nurse is an excellence career choice, there are many challenges to it. The main challenge for me would be the adjustment of the hours you have to work. These long hours may be tiring, but more importantly you won’t be able to do the things you used to do, with less demanding jobs. However, if you enjoy the career, the hours will not matter. In addition, nursing is affected by the economic stance of the country. This career is beneficial to the community and society as a whole. Nurses help individuals from birth to death, and are there for almost any unimaginable situation.
