Carrie Underwood may be an amazing country singer and now she is speaking out about her time on American Idol. Underwood got her start on the show, but she is admitting that it was actually a very scary situation for her. Carrie is a girl from a small town in Oklahoma and this was a huge change for her. Yahoo actually shared what Carrie Underwood had to say about it all and how it was "horrifying" to her dealing with all of it. Carrie spoke out to Parade Magazine recently about the show that changed her life.

Carrie is living in Nashville and not small town Oklahoma and is now married to Mike Fisher plus is a mom with a little boy at home. Her son Isiah is now 7 months old and Carrie is always posting things about him while they are on the road. Underwood has won 7 Grammys already in her time in country music. Carrie went on to explain how great things are for and that she is thankful for the show.

I always kept in my head, 'If nothing else ever comes of this, I got to do the coolest thing ever and I won American Idol,' I was like, 'Okay, I will just have fun with this and save up as much money as I can and finish school and get a real job.' Because I am always a practical thinker and would never allow myself to think it would turn out okay all the time.

Carrie Underwood did admit that she is a bit shy still. After 10 years of being in the country music world, Underwood still has a bit of trouble talking to the audience, but it sounds like the singing part just comes naturally to her.
