Many things have changed us! Many things have, they changed us, informed us, and even saved our lives. People didn’t have a variety of cars, toys, or games back then; on the other hand, during today people have a surplus of them. There are Three things that have drastically changed us: Cars, toys, and types of board/video games. Cars have come a long way since the 60s. Both today and in the 60s Ford, a major car company in the United States, was and still is popular. Another matching detail between today’s cars and the cars in the 60’s were pricing. In the past cars were typically $2,600. That was expensive back then surprisingly. But car prices today, are $33,560 also expensive. On the other hand, there are also differences between the cars today and in the 60s. One example of how they’re different is, cars today have a lot more models and companies than they did in the 60s. Large and small, toys were very popular in the 60s. Along the same lines, they’re still very popular today. For example, in the book The Watsons go to Birmingham Kenny had “1 million” toy dinosaurs he would play with (Curtis). Another comparison, is action figures like G.I. Joe can still be found on store shelves today! He came from the 60s era. Nevertheless, toys also have some differences. One opposition, is the material. In the 1960s toys and dolls were made out of rough/weak material. For instance, Her, the doll, skin was made out of plastic but her dress was made with yarn. In addition to that, toys were very cheap back then compared to today. For example, a Lady was in the store yesterday wanting to get her daughter the doll she wanted.
