This implies to a medical assistant .because if someone was to ask about a patient for different purposes it’s up to you to let it out. As an assistant you would have to ask the doctor first and they judge off if they want to or not. And as well as collecting insurance and other important information making sure that you can take care of the

To summarise the care value base is a framework set up to put the service user at the heart of service provision to empower them and enable that active support is provided. The principles lead to empowerment because together they enable that people are being respected and play an active part within the care that they are provided. Principle 1 - To promote practice which is anti-discriminatory The first principle is difficult because children and adults are influenced by the world around them, and although some people would consider discrimination to be wrong we have to allow people to have their own beliefs and opinions.

Seton's Healthcare Family Mission is to "improve the health of those we serve with special concern for the poor and vulnerable. We are called to be a sign of God’s unconditional love for all and believe that all persons by their creation are endowed with dignity" (Seton, 2015). Seton's social workers are instrumental in cost containment for the elderly and vulnerable populations. Recent studies have shown there is an influx of non-elderly populations that are uninsured (Shi, 2000). If a patient needs assistance with medications, Seton's social workers first find out if the patient has health insurance and just need help with their co-pay.

Some situations in life can put someone in a very awkward position. Due to the vast diversity that exists among individuals, there are different responses that arise when one is faced with difficult times. Chris is an Indian citizen and has been battling lung cancer for eight years now. His family is dependent on him as their bread winner. Each passing day makes it harder for Chris to get enough money that he can share with his family of three children.
Compassion does make impacts on other people, everyday for example in history. When Abraham Lincoln stopped slavery. The slaves were freed, they were no longer owned. Second act of compassion helped my family still be whole. My aunt saved my cousin Luke from drowning.
In some of the clinics we are completely alone, no doctors. Other times NPs and doctors will be seeing patients side by side. Usually doctors are really open to consulting with the NPs, if the NP wants to make sure of something. We don’t report to them. We both prescribe meds, refer to other specialties as needed” (J. Yale, personal communication, September 9, 2016).
The Courage to Care award is an honorary award by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) given to people who have rescued Jews during the Holocaust. Established in 1987, it was renamed in 2011 in honor of Jan Karski, a Polish diplomat who was well deserved of the award. My thoughts about this award are, just the thought of being able to save thousands of Jews and have a story to tell and then years later sharing your heroic story to the world and receiving an award is one amazing thing that can happen. For example, I am struck by the story of a young girl by the name of Irene Gut Opdyke who, as a teenager, saved 16 Polish Jews. I mean it’s hard being a teenager now but imagine it back then, and she saved lives!
This paper 's intention is to apply Compassion-Focused Therapy to the case study of Laura and will outline how Compassion Focused Therapy clarifies the case of Laura as well as outlining the methods used in Compassion-Focused therapy. The essay will finally evaluate how effective Compassion Focused Therapy is when understanding the case of Laura. Compassion is ‘a desire to alleviate another person’s suffering’ as redefined by Lopez (2011) which is believed that people can train themselves to become more competent in (Lutz, Brefczynski-Lewis, Johnstone & Davidson, 2008). Dalai Lama (1995) originally suggested that compassion is achieved by deep commitment to relieve the suffering of another person (as cited in Gilbert, 2010a). Compassion focuses
Case 1 Angel Heart Investors (AHI) is a start-up venture capital for educational software applications. Two educational programs, Education System Application (ESA) and Education Market Analysts (EMA), need the capital investment from AHI. Although both investment opportunities are worth pursuing, AHI are willing to commit for both projects $800,000, $700,000 and 500,000$ at most each year.
Demonstrating ‘respect for patients’ values, preferences and expressed needs,’ is one of the eight dimensions of person centred care outlined by the Picker Institute (ref). Morgan and Yoder (2012) described ‘respectful care’ as being an attribute of person centred and while the author does not disagree with this idea of ‘respectful care’ being inherent to person centred care, the author believes that Slater (2006) more accurately describes dignity and respect as being antecedents of person centred care. These antecedents drive respect of personal values, individual needs and decisions, a consequence of which is an improved therapeutic relationship and health outcomes. The author considers this view of dignity, compassion and respect as antecedents
