For HCA, to avoid future disparities offering lower prices to existing patients and new patients, who could not afford the services, is a good initiative to not lose patients and therefore not lose profit. Another way to help with the disparities is to set up clinic services to patients who are not able to afford medical assistance at the same time this clinic can provide education to patients on how to better their health and lifestyles. If an organization treats and helps guide a patient he/she will continue to come back to get treated or educated. With this, it will help the organization target disparities, help the community while still making a profit because it retained their
Employment is an issue in the city of Milwaukee for youth ages 15 to 24. This age group is plagued with issues that limit their ability to obtain and sustain employment. The most common issues being: lack of transportation, lack of either high school diplomas or college degrees, limited availability due to school scheduling, and lack of experience in the work force that would make them more employable. What these youth do have is a want and a need to generate income for themselves and often times for their families as well. Public health has serve under advantage people for several years. According to the article, many public health agencies provide services such as prenatal education and counseling, childhood and adult immunizations, family planning and birth control, chronic disease screening, and diagnosis and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, HIV and AIDS, and tuberculosis. According to the article many public health agencies also offer outreach and support services such as transportation, on-site child care, and home visiting that are designed to encourage appropriate use of these services. I feel that this is important to be able to offer transportation assistance and children care for some of the percipients.
In the short story “Doing the Right Thing”, the main character, Kwe, holds an outsider status from the members of the firearms course as she is Indigenous. Due to her different status from the individuals in the firearms course, she can expose the hypocrisy of others through the stories that are told, the beliefs of others, and the lessons others try to teach. To begin, Big Chief, the firearm course instructor, begins the course by retelling a story about his best friend and when they were younger. The two of them were out hunting and the friend accidentally kills one of the nearby farmer's hens. As Kwe describes this story she ends it by saying that “The moral of the story is that you have to respect the people whose land you are hunting on” (28).

Owen Wattelle 2/11/18 SPED 117 Chapter 2: From Charity to Independent Living The issues highlighted in this chapter are the immobility that those with disabilities experience and the public’s resistance in changing things for minority groups. Ed Roberts was a high schooler who was paralyzed by polio. In order to finish high school he would have to overcome obstacles of immobility and public opinion. After the dean would not let him graduate due to him not fulfilling the driving nor the physical education requirement, he got the media involved.
People with disabilities usually find it more difficult to accomplish things than others. In the book Flowers for Algernon, Daniel Keyes illustrates this. The main character Charlie is mentally retarded. His family gave him up and put him in the Warren home for people who are mentally ill. His uncle took him out of Warren, gave him a job at his bakery, and looked out for him.
Additionally, he assists clients who have documented disabilities and his focus is to employ the individual and put them back to work. Every $1 in which DRS brings in is matched by the state (4 to 1 ratio). Seventy percent of individual’s with disabilities are unemployed. It is a fact, that able bodied individuals have more opportunity and jobs than individuals with disabilities. Ginn also sponsors a disability day at the capital every year and his objective is to inform the legislature of people with disabilities and their needs.
Disabled people who do manage to make their way into the work force tend to encounter numerous disadvantages such as advancement and on average earn around one quarter of the income of their able bodied counterparts (Barnes, Mercer & Shakespeare 1999, p.110). In addition, the majority of well paid, high skilled, and rewarding positions are commonly taken by non-disabled people (Barnes, Mercer & Shakespeare 1999, p.111). It is possible that employers are not interested or unmotivated to make possible changes or allowance for physically disabled people within their organization

Disabled people are people who have mental or physical limitation so they depend on someone to support them in doing their daily life needs and jobs. Although disabled people are a minority and they are normally ignored, they are still a part of the society. The statistics show that the proportion of disabled people in the world rose from 10 percent in the seventies of the last century to 15 percent so far.
