Currently, Camp Kon-O-Kwee Spencer has a Facebook page. Our idea would be to design a fan page for the very nice summer camp. Facebook is an essential social media platform, because it is one of the most used websites in the world today (The eBusiness|MBA Guide). The Camp Kon-O-Kwee Spencer fan page would allow for our target market of household decision makers (Mothers) to “like” it as well as comment on things that they liked, message others for more details, and like the posts that they will see about the camp. Allowing these on the fan page will help us achieve our objective, which is to get more campers. This helps by, giving more people a chance to figure out what the camp is, and what the camp promotes. We strongly believe that the camp is so good that our camp will get an increase in campers from the comments of past parents had who had their children participate. Facebook will also help the camp know what they are doing right, and what they are doing wrong. With Twitter, Camp Kon-O-Kwee Spencer can get short facts out to their followers in a very timely manner. They can tweet during camp activities, respond to questions, and follow potential future campers which could help with our objective of getting more campers. Twitter is a great way to increase the number of people who are aware of our camp. With functions like retweets, favorites, and hashtags our camp could reach many of other people very quickly even if they are not currently following us. Twitter only allows 140 characters per tweet, so hyperlinks leading to the camps website and other articles can be used in tweets.
