The Camosun Bog is currently an environmental wetland that produces berries and food for plants and animals around the area. The government is currently thinking of taking over the bog to create houses for the problem that is going on in Vancouver which is the growing population with not enough housing. Since there is not enough housing, this results to making the houses more expensive which struck up the idea to the program for the low income earners in Vancouver. Developing the Camosun Bog would impact negatively because the bog will die eventually and instead we should create housing on that land for the governments program for the people earning low income in their jobs. The bog is slowly dying because of the change of climate around us.

How do you cope with the reality of day to day life? I would like to think I handle the reality of day to day life moderately well like everyone else. However, I began to question myself once again as I read Ambrose Bierce’s “An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge.” This story, with its unexpected ending, had me rereading it several times to pull out key details that led me down the wrong path the first time.
• The landscape of south Florida (Everglades) was shaped by the extreme climate and drastic sea-level change during the Pleistocene Epoch, also known as the Ice Age. Sea levels were as much as 300 feet lower and as much as 100 feet higher than today. Even though glacial ice never stretched down as far as south Florida, the effects of remote glaciation are indisputable. As the giant glaciers in the north progressed and departed, the Florida peninsula emerged and submerged (sea-levels responded by falling and rising). As the Ice Age came to an end, sea-levels rose, FL.
1. The ethical sequence, as Leopold sees it, is the process of ecological evolution. The ethical sequence is also a combination of ethics in ecology and philosophy; other wise, known as symbioses. We have ethics in dealing between the individual and with society, but not with men and the animals and plants that we grow up with. This idea of men having ethics toward animals and plants is ecologically necessary and possible.
The Buffalo Creek Disaster written by Gerald M. Stern helped me understand the different decisions a lawyer must go through to help their clients. The Buffalo Creek Mining Company’s coal waste refuse pile collapsed, leaving over 125 people dead and 4,000 people mentally distraught. Mario Moscatelli, a biologist, was quoted by Anna Kaiser in an article from time.com on April 2,2015 as saying, “ sailing in the bay is like playing Russian roulette.” Moscatelli is talking about Guanabara Bay where athletes are scheduled to be sailing, but Guanabara Bay is not the only water venue that is highly polluted. Rodrigo de Freitas Lake where athletes are scheduled to be rowing and canoeing and Copacabana Beach where athletes are scheduled to be swimming are both highly polluted. An estimated 1,400 athletes will compete at one of these three sites that can pose a threat to their health. The 2016 summer Olympics are scheduled to be held in Rio de Janeiro but due to massive levels of water pollution many people are questioning if the water is safe enough to compete in.
