The Corps of Discovery was a group of the United States' army that was specifically opted for exploration. The leaders of this branch consisted of Meriwether Lewis and William Clark. Thomas Jefferson started this association with aim to receive knowledge of the newly purchased Louisiana Purchase and establish relationships with the Native Americans of the region. The president also wanted to start stacking U.S presence in the Northwest and Oregon territory. The party of 45 men set out on May 14th, 1804 after Lewis and Clark had separated to gather supplies and train the participates.

I have had the pleasure of having Lucero as an Algebra II student and as a tutor/mentor for my younger students. I have watched her become an amazing young person over the last few years who values hard work, helping others and education. I have seen Lucero’s enthusiasm for helping others through education develop into a passion that drives her educational focus. She is an extraordinary young woman who has given so much of her time to better our Greeley Central community and our Greeley community. She is always looking for ways where she can help others become successful.
Ever since I was little, being on Clearfield High School drill team was always a big dream of mine since I saw them perform at multiple of their schools football and basketball games. My parents took me to my first dance class when I was three years old and ever since I fell in love with that particular sport. I was different from all of the other kids at my school because they always got to play with the other kids from school and I always ended up having dance, but I didn’t mind because that was where most of my really close friends was at my childhood dance studio. I grew really attached to everything about that studio.
