Recommended: Importance of wildlife
One of my peers read this quote from the article “Landowners own the resource and have the right to pump water from beneath their land, as long as the water is being put to beneficial use,” and was confused at this because he had never heard of landowners being able to pump water on their land and that there was even a law for that. By examining this quote we learned something new instead of just reading it and continuing on. When I was reading this article I found this quote “In a drought, as the rivers run low, less fresh water reaches the ocean, causing an imbalance of salt water to fresh water in coastal estuaries,” and interpreted this fact that when that imbalance occurs it can have some damages to the ecosystem affecting the local vegetation and wildlife. The fisherman and farmers living near the water are also affected by this imbalance causing harm to their crops and animals. The other person I talked to had a personal experience with one of the quotes, “These farmers braved the elements; they were confronted with Mother Nature.”
Also, when the fracking companies clear the land so they can do their business, they are taking away natural habitats for the wild
Every year hundreds of wild, exotic animals are killed, primarily in Africa, for money, bragging rights, and even decoration. Big game trophy hunting is a booming business, but has sparked a worldwide debate, especially after the killing of Cecil the Lion. Trophy hunters claim they are helping conservation efforts, but in reality, they are harming them. This sport is damaging the overall population of a species, especially lions, rhinos, and elephants. Also, the overall revenue from big game hunting is a small amount, and only a small percent of that goes to help the community.
How would you feel to have your dog or your cat to be gone all of a sudden and him never coming back? The wolf population is rising and we should be able to hunt the wolves and be able to regulate their population. Wolves have been around for millions of years and our ancestors were able to hunt them so why can’t we? Wolves can be very dangerous especially when it comes to baby livestock when they aren’t able to protect themselves.
It's good for the species, if animals aren’t hunted they’ll die of starvation or disease when that food could have been used for meat on the table. It saves money by allowing you to harvest a animal and get about fifty pounds of meat, then buying that meat at the store. It’s also good for your family, hunting teaches the children, one of the greatest life lessons you can teach. There are a few better ways to spend quality time with your family than to take them away from their computer or tv and show them where their food comes from. Hunting is a sport, it challenges your brain and helps you vision when looking for movement.
Some may disagree that hunting’s purpose is to hunt the animals only and not to destroy their ecosystem which is true sometimes. They agree
In addition, the detrimental wildlife issues that would emerge if hunting were no longer an option to keep animal populations under control would increase significantly. The idea of keeping hunting alive is crucial to keep our wildlife safe. Hunting may not apply to all people in the world, but it has to be done. In today’s world there is no other possible way to manage our wildlife in such an effective manner as we do it now. What people need to realize and accept is the fact that hunting does not harm the animals as severely as leaving them to overpopulate does.
Hunting has been a part of our society since the first man set foot on this continent, but animal rights movements have become popular in our society recently that has questioned the necessity of hunting in our modern times. Because of this, animal populations are left freely to where they can multiply at an alarming rate. Hunting is a great means of controlling animal populations’ growth, although greatly opposed by many. While hunting is a very controversial topic in our society, there are great points for being for and against it. Hunting is a way that humans see to keep balance of the ecosystem.
Zoos have always been something that families love and kids look forward to going to. Kids learn about the animals and the habitats and enjoy the entertainment. It is a great experience for people, but not for the animals. Zoos are downright cruel to Animals. Animals our forced to live in an unreal stressful, and boring conditions.
B. Still, trophy hunters kill roughly 600 of these animals every year, compounding lions ' to other threats, like habitat loss and retaliatory killing as an endangered species. ( Pimm. Pg 2 ) II. Hunting is clearly not the same as is was in the good old days.
Wildlife Conservation is often seen as a bad thing, but if you look at it from my perspective, then it is actually a good thing. People think of it as holding wild animals captive, but we are actually protecting them from poachers. The purpose of Wildlife Conservation is to protect the animals in danger, which I am in agreement 110%. Other people argue that we shouldn’t have conservations, but they don’t know the harm that can happen to unprotected animals.
Introduction Overpopulation is the excessive population of an area to the point of overcrowding and it is an undesirable condition in every country where the number of existing human population rises to an extent exceeding the carrying capacity of ecological setting. Overpopulation can be result from an increase in births, an increase in immigration, a decline in mortality rates and other factors that may cause overpopulated environment. Therefore, this can cause influence as lack of the available essential materials for survival like water, shelter, social amenities and other because of the numbers of people might be more than the materials for survival. In such condition, this regularly contributes to environmental deterioration, worsening
Review of Literature Environmental issues began to be discussed and debated only towards the end of the 20th century. Since then significant amount of literature has been penned down raising awareness about issues of pollution, deforestation, animal rights and several others however it has failed to result in major changes, ideas or even actions to save the environment. Several species of animals have become extinct; pollution level is at an all-time high, global warming is leading to severe climate changes all across the globe but these problems do not seem to alarm the decision makers. Leydier & Martin (2013) also states that, “despite the increasing expression of concern in political and media debates about issues such as climate change, pollution and threats to biodiversity, “political ecology” (operating at the confluence of scientific developments, political engagement and ethical debates) is still trying to find its bearings” (p.7). It is quite evident that environmental issues are not treated in equivalence to political, economic, social or even religious issues.
Nowadays, environmental degradation has become an important issue. This is because environmental degradation is one of the largest threats that is being looked at in the world today. This is because of the depletion of important resources such as air, water, and soil; the destruction of ecosystems; habitat destruction; the extinction of wildlife; and pollution. To limit the impact of these situations, it is important to know the possible side-effects of environmental degradation. Therefore, there are several causes and negative effects of environmental degradation provided in this essay with some recommendations to prevent it.
Killing Animals In the present, the world has changed in many sides. One of changing is numbers of killing animals are increasing continuous. Many people think what are reasons for this acting?
