According to Anya Kamenetz in the article “Generation Debt,” young people of today are struggling with high debt due to high educational finances and this is preventing them to move on as responsible adults. College tuitions are too high to pay that young people fall into applying for student loans, and have significant credit card debt with high balances. Most students are using their credit cards to pay for their college expenses and student loans; even their paychecks are being used to pay for college. I agree that many young people held back in becoming a full adult which they are doing everything they can just to continue their education. Even if it means to continue living at home with parents just to make ends meets and not being able to step in the “fully adulthood.”
In the article, “Should Everyone Go To College”, Stephanie Owen and Isabell Sawhill mention the essential variety of factors that students should take into consideration before entering the field of study. Factors such as institution attended, major, or even whether a student graduates or not. In some cases, college may not be a smart investment after all depending on the capacity of the student. So why do most young people end up going to these universities? Most young people have been told that they should go no matter what, which can result against their favor.
College Isn’t for Everyone "By telling all young people that they should go to college no matter what, we are actually doing some of them a disservice" (Owen). This quote from “Brookings Paper: Is College a Good Investment” goes into detail about how college isn’t for everyone. By educators, parents, and authority figures telling graduating high school seniors that college is necessary, they are limiting the potential of that student’s true skills. College isn’t right for everyone and not everyone wants to go to college.
Soon enough most people go to college today which costs an arm and a leg. College is a place where most people are now treated as adults and teachers become stricter with their rules and assignments. This causes many kids to either try harder or it opens people’s eyes and shows that college is not
Though there are many individuals who believe that college is not for everyone, attending college and getting a higher education can open the gates to many tremendous life changing opportunities such as becoming healthier, begin able to secure jobs, and earning more financially.
Many people dream of a life filled with riches, but that dream is hard to obtain without a college degree. Even though college tuition could provide opportunities for job creation and economic growth, tuition is not affordable for the average American household which in effect, prohibits students from taking opportunities like going to college in the first place.
The Financial Cost of a College Education The cost of a college education has become a determining factor in whether or not people choose to continue their education after high school. The cost of college is so expensive that very few people are able to pay for their education “as they go”; students are being overwhelmed with student-loan debt. The prospect of student-loan debt shouldn't be driving people away from a college education. The cost of a college education in the United States is unaffordable.
Many students sometimes just leave out of high school and don’t even bother going to college due to the amount of time they think is going to be wasted. College does take a lot of time from a person’s day rather it be with being in class or doing homework , but the end result of it all is well worth it . Being able to spend all this time and money for college can be stressful, sometimes even difficult but being able to finish and get a diploma will prove theater hard work pays off. Although finding a job after college can sometimes be the most stressful thing to do it will all turn out for the better. Many times some people can’t find a job in the city or state they currently live in but other places may have the dream job they’ve been looking for since leaving college.
A college education has higher benefits in the long run for better higher paying jobs. Some people think no matter what it gives them it just is not worth the cost. Although, a lot of graduates of college stated that it treated them well, taught them more and college was worth their time (Pew Social and Demographic Trends). Getting an education can be challenging but it is it is worth the hard work because of the money in the future. People that did not get a college degree did not get as much money
At (blog.uncollege.org) it says, “The cost of college has skyrocketed in recent years. Attending a decently ranked university can easily cost upwards of $100,000.” Some People thought of not spending money on college but to go skip and go straight forward into life. But what I’ve seen in the success of college, are things that you earn and get rewarded for and you live life way easier. There is more to it than just getting a great job and getting more money after you graduate from college.

Why People Should Not Go to College People should not go to college because is difficult to find out what career choice as a result of the inexperience and little information, the potential loans are overwhelming, and the huge necessity to start working immediately after school. In fact, many high school students go to college because it is expected of them, but that is not a good reason to go. If the students are facing pressure from their parents, friends, or teachers to attend college, but they do not feel ready. A person who wants to attend college should not take on such a large financial and time commitment just to please other people. College is expensive, and it does not make sense to spend money on a college degree if they are unsure of their path.
To wrap it up, these are reasons why people should go to college because they learn about social skills, receive better health, earn more money and have a good job that you enjoy. Although a lot of high school graduates who attend college end up in debt because they had to make a loan to go to college. Did you know that if you go to college it can help you get better jobs and also better pay, it is also helpful if you have a career you want and colleges teach it you may have a better time getting into what you want your career to be. College graduates earn more and also are more likely to get better jobs in the first place and if you live in america some people really care about that.
