“To keep the body in good health is a duty, otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear.” That was a quote by Buddha. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle can be an issue for many people around the globe. Being unhealthy can have many effects that aren’t things people would want to deal with. One example of that would be premature death, which can be caused by many of the other effects of this. Another example is having trouble focusing, which goes along with the quote from Buddha. This problem may not seem very important, but according to NDTV 600,000 people die because of heart disease, an effect of unhealthy living, each year in the U.S. That’s one fourth of all deaths in the United States. This paper will be showing the causes, effects, and previous solutions of this problem, as well as a unique solution to this problem.
One cause of an unhealthy lifestyle would be not eating nutritionally. According to SA Health, “Poor eating habits include under- or over-eating, not having enough of the healthy foods we need each day, or consuming too many types of food and drink, which are low in fibre or high in fat, salt and/or sugar. These unhealthy eating habits can affect our nutrient intake, including energy (or kilojoules) protein, carbohydrates, essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals as well as fibre and fluid.” These examples of poor eating habits show that eating unhealthy can contribute to an unhealthy lifestyle.
