In the book Fahrenheit 451, Ray Bradbury, has made a point about how his book isn’t about censorship, and more about how TV is replacing books in society. Technology in this society today has became very advanced and efficient, resulting in a less necessity of books. Most movies or TV shows are based off many books proving that books are still important in today’s society with getting ideas from.
Many technologies have replaced books in our society today. The world has became such a different place from a long time ago. Books are little needed in education, because almost everything is online. Soon books will be eliminated permanently from schools because there would be no purpose for them. It has been much easier and efficient to read online

I think Bradbury was right to think that because a huge number of the population either don’t read books at all, or people have been reading less of them. Over the years there has been a drop of books being purchased or rented to read.Typewriters, record players, and pagers all have evolved or became extinct in today’s society because of the advancement of technology. Although books are not completely replaced, there has been a big decrease on the amount of books people read each year. In the book, there are many similarities to technology in our society today. For example, the seashell radios that people put in their ears, are just like bluetooth or earbuds of our society. Also the parlor walls are an example of flat screen TV’s. The parlor walls are very similar to many social media sites like Facebook , that people interact with each other through. These new technologies all share one thing in common, they all replace books in some form, when getting information. I think books in today’s society are valued very little for most of the population, but in many cases people still may value them greatly. For example, books may mean a lot to someone, but they may not read it anymore. Books may not be valued for many people because after they have been read, they may be done with that book forever. People may not value books also because it’s time consuming to read a full book, most people have just given up …show more content…
For example in the book Fahrenheit 451, he mentions how Jesus has been seen a lot differently as a silly actor, when on shows or commercials. People in their society have not read the bible, so the people may not know the real story of Jesus, and how he’s our savior. Books are different from TV or movies according to me because everyone sees movies in the same way, but books are seen differently from everyone’s perspective. For example, when we read a book, everyone imagines it in their head a different way that everybody else. Also movies or shows may change a lot of the storyline if it’s based on a book. There is also a lot more of the story in a book compared to a movie or a show, because movies or shows go really quick from scene to scene.. Books and TV shows or movies are different because movies or shows may be more exciting than reading a book to some people. People may feel more like they’re actually involved in the movie during action scenes. In my opinion I would rather watch a movie based on a book than read it, but that may not be as good. This is because movies or shows leave out a lot of detail or make changes to a lot of it. For example, a book you may read may be totally different from the details and the characters in it. There are also many more gaps to be filled in when watching a movie than when reading a book. For example, in a movie or show it doesn’t show how the person really feels, and
