As an activist for years, passionate about women’s rights, it would be hard not to describe a charismatic leader that fought for the rights of the minority. All those charismatic leaders like Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King, Jr. Mother Teresa, amongst others, are worth describing for their extraordinary characteristics for having a vision to change the state of those unable to stand up for their rights. “Transformational leadership involves an exceptional form of influence that moves followers to accomplish more than what is usually expected of them. It is a process that often incorporates charismatic and visionary leadership” (Northouse, 2013 pp 185). Cesar Chavez incorporated these mentioned leadership qualities, Curry, Jiobu and Schwirian (2004) “charismatic leaders rise above other people in their vision of what society should be or should become” (Curry, Jiobu and Schwirian, 2004 pp 283). …show more content…

Contrary, unambiguous was more clear to interpret and identify the victimizing behaviours as what it really was. Cesar Chavez as a charismatic leader was very transparent in his motive; leaders like Chavez, risk their own life for the sake of others, would be hard to categorize his actions as being ambiguous or unambiguous. On one of the marches organized by Chavez, thousands came out to support the cause and rally in comparison with a leader like Trujillo (Dominican Republic dictatorship) who followers were coerced to follow him. Hence, it can be said, that a Pseudotransformational leadership can be similar to a dictatorship.
