The book Canyons by Gary Paulsen is about the strange connection between Brennan, a present-time 14-year-old boy, and Coyote Runs, a 14-year-old Apache boy. He is very excited to go on his first raid and become a man. The story takes place in El Paso, Texas, which has a very hot climate and is nestled by many mountains, cliffs, and canyons. Brennan loves to run, but he says that he does it for himself. The track coach urges him to play but he won’t.
Sequoia – Kings Canyon National Park is located in eastern California in the Sierra Nevada Range west of Death Valley. It has interesting geological features that can resemble those in Yosemite National Park. It contains various geological elements that enhance its appearance and history, resulting in an interest in the park by a variety of scientists and explorers. The park contains the largest groves of giant sequoias and covers over 1300 square miles. (Harris, 2004)
The fictional story “Canyons” by Gary Paulsen is an average and predictable book meant for younger ages than middle schoolers. “Canyons” is set in El Paso, Texas in a small, poor town which is a few miles away from a nature-protected canyon called “Dog Canyon’’. There are 2 main characters, one is Coyote Runs. Coyote is a young boy (14 years) who is determined to become a man in his tribe.
The article states three competting theories about Chano Canyon and provides three theories. However, the professor explains that these theories are not correct and refutes each of the author 's reasons. First, the reading claims that the Chaco structure were purely residental, with each housing handred of people. The professor refutes this point by saying that this theiry can not be correct.

Today, there are 56 million Americans growing up in Southwest and they have region’s natural dryness. Also, Arizona state has less rain every year around 7.5 inches. In addition, Colorado River is most important to help 30 million people in Southwest.
all of this show to be patronising and kind of rude to the people of holcomb, Kansas. Diction is huge part of this paper. Capotes veiw on the town is shown fully through his word choice. the rodes a discribed as having the "direst roads" and having "ramshackle" buildings. the buildings in holcomb have signs discribes as "irrelevent".
Being a survivor is a huge accomplishment that doesn 't come easy. There are many hardships that come along with the title survivor. Most people envision a perfect place as a place peaceful and secluded. However, this place may not always seem perfect. A canyon that is a perfect, untouched place is the setting for the short story All Gold Canyon by Jack London. This story has a human vs. nature conflict in it that is the basis for the whole story.
