In this essay I will be talking about the change of perspectives in the movie 12 Angry Men. The movie starts off with the trial of aboy who is accused of killing his father. The jury has to come togeather and make a verdict on the boys innocense. When they come together to all vote it comes out 11 to 1. Eleven people voted guilty and only 1 person voted not guilty. They all were upset and confused as to why the man had voted not guilty. The man didnt exactly think that the boy was not guilty but he didnt think that he was either. He let the men know that they should atleast talk about it because they were overall talking about someones life. As the movie goes on you can see how all the men gradually changed their votes to not guilty after having conversations about tiny details that were not mentioned in the court room. The second man to change his vote was the old man. Everyone was rude to the older man and overlooked his vote and tried to make him feel stupid about it. But he actually had a valid reason to changing his vote. He played close attention to the other old mans attire and how he walked and presented himself. Second to last of all the men. He was so heavy on the facts about the case and he seemed that he didnt want to change his vote. Until the old man had pointed something out. The old man relized the the other man was rubbing the bridge of his nose because of the markings that his eyeglasses had made. He pointed out that the lady that testified as a witness to the crime had the same eyemarkings and also rubbed her eyes the same way. Once he had relized that one of the other men pointed out that in the split second the lady had seen the boy stabbing his father that she wouldnt have reached over to put her glasses back on if she was glancing out of the window in bed.
