Why change is hard
So many of us crave change, but we fear it at the same time.
In this fear of change, we usually find 3 main elements. Fear of the unknown, a fear of failure, and fear of not being able to go back.
Learning to be OK with change means we need to master these three things, only then can we embrace real change in our lives.
So many times I’ve said I was going to make a change, I start of well, but then it inevitably fades into nothingness.
Making changes is a commitment which requires 100% from us. That is why if you are looking to make real changes in your life, you need to make sure that you are confident with the three elements of change, these are the things that hold us back.

In an attempt to minimise the damage of failure, we will often unconsciously self-sabotage, which helps to lessen the shame or guilt on ourselves.
For example, if someone has a blog post to write, they spend time walking around, making coffee and checking email, rather than publishing. In this way, if failure happens, they can use the excuse “I didn’t get to it” or “I was too tired”.
We need to recognise self-sabotage. Most ofter they sound like excuses and they are used to justify our own actions to ourself, rather than others.
People that love you will support you no matter what. Failure is a part of life, and it’s not a bad thing. It allows us to learn from it and grow, giving us a far better It gives better chance of succeeding the next time.
Once we change our view of failure from negative to positive, then change becomes so much easier.
