My ideas for our chapter service projects are to organize a clothing swap and donation drive, pen pal with the fourth graders, clean the community, chose an organization that helps others out and donate, promote health and fitness in the community, visit a retirement home, and make hygiene kits for a homeless shelter. My personal service project is to ask for money, food and clothing donations for my birthday to donate them and volunteer at the public library to read to kids. My first idea for our chapter service project is to organize a community clothing swap and donation drive. As time goes by, clothes begin to go out of style and are quickly forgotten. If you look at your closet some immediate thoughts might be that you have nothing to wear as is usual for girls. If you actually look through piles and piles of clothes you can find pieces that you have never worn or some clothing that you have worn in one occasion. The most common thing for some people is to throw away things they do not use without thinking where they might end up. Clothing can take several of months to years in order to decompose in a landfill. Maintaining personal hygiene is important for many reasons: personal, social, and health reasons. Keeping a good hygiene can prevent the development and spread of illness and infection. Poor hygiene can lead to poor health. Out in the streets, people can encounter many dangers. If a person gets hurt their wound can be infected if they are not clean. Another example is not washing their teeth. If someone does not wash their teeth, it can lead to a serious infection and the lost of their teeth.
