To most people, the National Football League is merely the provider of Monday night, Thursday night, and Sunday entertainment- professional football. However, George Dohrmann, in his essay “Hooked for Life: Inside the NFL’s Tobacco-Style Strategy To Hook Your Kids,” discusses the aggressive marketing tactics used to sell kids on a dangerous sport. In order to create long-lasting viewers, the league tries to instill the love of the game to elementary-age kids. Dohrmann easily persuades an audience of parents by explaining who is targeting them and their children, why they are being targeted, and how they are being targeted in an ad campaign to allure their kids into playing football. He even offers a seemingly-perfect solution to this dilemma.
josh Sundquist has trust issues, he doesn 't feel like he 's good enough for anybody. but Josh Sundquist is a fighter, he sees the beauty in everything and always tries to give 100 percent effort. I find myself in the way Josh Sundquist acts toward others and how he feels about himself. the way he always wants the people he is around to love themselves and be better, how he fights for what he believes in, and how he wants to get 100 percent out of life and won 't just give 100 perfect effort and just quit.
We chose to do our character analysis on Link because he is a well-rounded character who changes throughout the story. While Link makes his first appearance in chapter fourteen, he has a large impact in Melba’s life from then on out. He starts off in the story as a bystander. He does not physically attack the African-American students, but he does nothing to stop the attacks and threats that they must deal with. When Link does finally step into the story and begins to help Melba he changes into an ally for The Little Rock Nine.

Through A Long Way Gone by Ishmael Beah, Ishmael’s perspective of desire was altered dramatically. These desires were changed from his surroundings or events that were taking place. What was most revealing is that while my participants continue and will keep on watching football, 78 percent of them said they would not let their kids play the sport because of the dangers and the risk that comes
In the book “Two Kinds” by Amy Tan, it’s about a little girl who is pressured by her mother to become something she doesn’t want to be. Jing- mei , the daughter, is forced to become a prodigy(child actress), by her mother, and she doesn’t want to be one. In the story, Jing- meis’ mother uses allusions such as Shirley Temple to push her into becoming a prodigy. Although at first Jing- mei is excited to become a prodigy, she later realizes its something she just doesn’t enjoy doing. Consequently, the uses of allusion in the story help Jing- mei discover to not be a prodigy and that what her mother wants for her is not always important.
In Animal Farm, George Orwell utilizes irony in foreshadowing to deftly hint at events that are to come along in the plot, creating dramatic irony and a prominent tension that helps the reader to question the progression of the plot. An example of this that is demonstrated in the text is when “Boxer would not listen”. Throughout her life, she is forced into living a life that is not hers, but rather her mom’s vision of a perfect child; because her mother lost everything, which included her parents and kids, so her only hope was through Jing Mei. Jing Mei’s mom watches TV shows such as the Ed Sullivan Show, which gives her inspiration that her daughter should be like the people and actors. The story of Young Goodman Brown is the story of a tale about the main character becoming aware of the hypocrisy of his faith as a Puritan. Through his travels in the woods at night, he unveils the truths, or what he believes as truths, about his wife Faith, neighbors, and fellow Christians. By the end, Brown loses all trust in his Faith, both literally and spiritually, and refuses to see any good in the world.
