Mr. Hoodhood, Heather, and the waterfall all helped holling in finding where he is in the world. Mr. hoodhood, Holling’s father, has an impact on Holling, a negative one. “The river was a sudden ribbon of silvery, light flickering and sparkling and flashing..”(257) this little snippet of the scene describes how intrigued he was. He always shows how he is troubled in his actions, like how his dad can infect his way of thinking, furthermore into this scene he was finally at peace with himself. He found comfort in the river, beauty even, he was so calm that everything looked was quiet just like the river, that's when he body, heart, and mind finally connected and worked together.
