Cheyenne is the language of a Native American tribe. The name of the language is technically called “Tsėhésenėstsestȯtse” in the tribe’s actual language, but is known as Cheyenne in English. Cheyenne is apart of the “Algonquian language” family group, and similar to all of the Algonquian languages, it has intricate morphology; and since Cheyenne is a part of the Algonquian languages, it is a subcategory of Algic languages, more precisely, it is a “Plains Algonquian language”.
