Chicago White Sox The chicago white sox were one of the best baseball teams in the early 90’s. The chicago white sox were founded in 1894 by Charles comiskey at the end of its first season and was relocated to St. Paul, Minnesota .The team were known as the Sioux city Corn huskers before they were moved.The chicago white sox moved from Minnesota to Chicago so they can have more publicity and they going nowhere over there so they left to make a name for themselves so team moved to Chicago in 1900, and the renamed American League was elevated to major league status the following year, with Chicago taking the first league title in 1901. They were named the white stockings until 1904 they replaced the name to White sox. They gained a lot of publicity in chicago by having a bigger fan base. …show more content…

The team was very good , they had good players and they played the games well .They won the championships in the years 1906 and 1917. “The 1906 White Sox team were known as the Hitless wonders because they were on a hot momentum”.The team had been in fourth place during the beginning of the season and a half games behind the defending champion Philadelphia Athletics, when they went on a winning streak with a record 19 wins no losses that drove them into first place and winning the word series. Winning the World series is important because it shows that the team is the best. If a team wins the world series it will let the world know who dominated all the teams that year. The 1917 Chicago white Sox won the world series beating the New York Giants four to two in the World series. They had a wild card and so most people knew they were gonna win it.
