Introduction Child labor is one of the silent development problems in today’s world of globalization. In a third world country like the Philippines, child labor remains prevalent and rights of the child are often too neglected. The Philippines has made significant development in efforts to eliminate forms of child labor, resulting in implementations of various government and non government organization programs yet the rate of child labor is continuously growing. General model of household decision-making emphasizes the important role of the household preference for present and future consumption, including children. Due to poor household, children are often used as household assets by sending them to work to increase incomes and the probability of survival. The negative impact towards children engaged in labor may presently deem unperceivable as they miss the opportunity to augment their efficiency and future earnings capacity. The operational word is opportunity, which granting them their rights to childhood, to their potential and to their dignity. The absence of this opportunity will definitely have a detrimental impact on the child’s development. In light of these positions, therefore, this question then implores to be asked: To what extent do child labor and household poverty in Dinalupihan, Bataan Region
