There are much more severe problems which are being caused by Child labor. These causes of child labor are very alike the reasons which took place in the United States of America in the 19th century, “The new supply of child workers was matched by a tremendous expansion of American industry in the last quarter of the nineteenth century that increased the jobs suitable for children” (Yellowitz 2). The primary reasons which are the primary reason to the rise the child labor are the inadequate enforcement of child labor laws, biased prohibition of child labor was mainly due to poverty, lack of education and exposure, suppression of workers ' rights. Most of the people wonder what a sweatshop is, well a sweatshop "a factory or workshop, where manual workers are employed at meager wages for long hours and under poor conditions" (Klocker 3). These unofficial shops usually employ children between the age of 7 to 16 to do the job in hazardous conditions and with hazardous heavy machinery. According to the article published in the New York Times, many young age workers were found selling cheap goods on streets, which were produced in sweatshops. These informal workshops can be found in some underdeveloped nations such as Indonesia, Bangladesh and much more. These informal workshops employ their child workers for very long hours of shifts and pay them a very meager amount of wage. However, these workshops have very hazardous working conditions, which leads to cause severe diseases and sometimes it leads to death. According to Michael Shuman ' s article, many people have broken fingers, lost limbs, fainted and contacted varies infections, some people have even died" (Shuman 3). It is not pleasant to experience for a child to be kept working as a child while other children are out playing and going to schools. It may result in the lack of emotional growth, education, and literacy. This issue must be stopped to give the children a better living life and right to be educated, which they deserve.
The causes of child labor are complex which includes poverty, cultural circumstances, and values, results must be broad and involve the most extensive potential assortment of partners in each culture. Immediate action is needed to be taken to eliminate this hazardous issue. People must come together to and implement laws and regulations to solve this problematic
