Do you ever feel like there is a piece of dry, and scratchy piece of sandpaper in the back of your throat from not having enough water? How would you feel if you could never stop the anoying feeling, that is constantly reminding you, that you could die from extreme thirst any day from now. The main reasons that China was driven into the intense water shortage is, their Government policies, Population increases and the most tremendous reason is the industrialization of China. One of the main reasons that is driving China's unfortunate water crisis is, China’s tremendous population growth. China’s government has placed their water price way too low. If the price doesn't change soon citizens will feel that they can cheaply use and waste their limited supply. If the government will raise the price of the water, citizens will become more cautious about sparingly using the water. They will use less of the liquid so residents don't have to pay as much for unnecessary usage. (Document F) Also, The government doesn't want to raise the price of water too high because then, citizens can't afford a basic need of life. If the price is raised to a higher amount they could potentially save more water, but their citizens would eventually parrish due to thirst. (Document F)Finally, The government is influencing China’s water shortage by allowing people to use as much water as they choose. The Chinese government has failed to put a limit on how much water a person can use per day. If they put a reasonable limit on the water usage, they could start to save, and recover from the drought. ( Document F) Since the government has not raised the prices, I feel that the citizens aren't aware of how much water they truly consume. If they raided the price, I feel that Citizens would be more cautious about using water. I also feel that the government should put a limit on how much water a citizen can use.
