508 Words3 Pages

Sadness, misery, and hope. These would be the three words that I would use to describe the childhood of Adeline Yen-Mah. In the novel Chinese Cinderella, by Adeline Yen Mah, the author tells the inspiring and sad story of her childhood. Although Adeline faces many challenges, she starts to overcome them with the help and support of Aunt Baba and Yeye. Aunt Baba supported Adeline in many ways. Adeline Yen-Mah overcame some very difficult situations with self-esteem, abuse, bullying, and more. Aunt Baba and Yeye helped and supported Adeline through every step she made, and I believe that was the reason that Adeline Yen-Mah is so successful today. In conclusion, I believe that Aunt Baba and Yeye were very important figures in Adelines life and they helped her get through and overcome her abusive and miserable
