For instance, obstacles or unknown events and how they find a way for it to resolve can look like our own. A great story contains many different elements. During Chino’s final year at Art and Design, he was introduced to futurist who Chino wanted to do what they did as well help rekindle culture since it was dead. I was 10 years old when my parents finally allowed me to help cultivate the corn crops on the plantation we owned. Even though the hot Mexico sun was beating down and the air was so humid you could feel it on your fingertips, I loved every second of it. Year after year, I remember salvaging a few ears of corn and running back into the house, hoping that I don’t hear my parents coming after me. “Andrea!” they would shout, and I would giggle and put my hands behind my back. Then, I would stuff the stolen crops in the small crevice between the cupboard and the wall.
The folklores of this particular culture hold creencias or beliefs that have shaped Mexican history. These stories serve to stimulate the minds of Mexican Americans that keep the history alive. For children it brings a view of a mystic world of the past to life in their eyes. It is the heart and soul of the culture and it gives people the insight to their value system. One story in particular from what I remember as a child was the story of La Llorona.
In American Born Chinese, there are many plot elements used to make readers feel multiple things. Three elements I will be talking about in this essay are parallel plots, foreshadowing, and conflict. I will give some examples from the story that show how the author used the three plot elements. I will also explain whether or not I think these plot elements were successfully used.
Every literary work has its own purpose of existence and no literary is the same. There is always literary work for someone to be interested in. the authors use different techniques in order to attract the readers, such as rhythm, rhyme, characters, settings, characters, theme, and conflict and other techniques. One of the elements that literature allow the readers to use is the imagination in order to visualize what the author message is in his story or poem. Some stories, poems or drama are based from the writer’s personal experience, such as the conflict with they have with society because of their race, gender or ethnicity.
Personal Statement I would like to confirm that it is my motivating of Chinese culture that ignited my passion for cultural and creative industry. As a Tourism Management major student, I was able to explore the Chinese diversified cultures and landscapes, which offered me an insightful understanding of the Chinese cultural development. Under the guidance of commercialization, some cultural heritages have developed into huge tourism souvenir markets full of counterfeit and shoddy products. The over-commercialization reveals the fact that the Chinese culture is facing a severe situation. The country calls for a better cultural development strategy, which cultural and creative industry can offer.
Also there are some themes that appear in both of these stories and how they are connected and different. Some of these themes are the themes of death, boasting/ego, courage, violence, and Good vs Evil.
The traditional Chinese cultures have a development process for thousand years, now we are creating another kind of traditional culture especially under the wave of globalization. Although the form of expressing or performing the culture experienced some changes but the basic idea and belief behind rarely changed. To promote Chinese culture we would refer to the essence of Chinese wisdom so the following is actual practicing of different dimensions of Chinese traditions which show the beauty of China. The family concept is the essence of Chinese culture.
