Chipotle Mexican Grill is an American restaurants chain that offers a focused menu of burritos and tacos. The company was founded by Steve Ells in 1993 with a vision of “food with entirety”. The company started its operations in the state of Colorado when it launched its first Chipotle in the city of Denver. Over the course of next five years, the company expanded its operations and successfully launched its Chipotle restaurants at several locations across the state of Colorado. Impressed with the proof of Chipotle’s concept, McDonald's jumped on the wagon in 1998 by acquiring small stake in the company which was later converted into the controlling stake in 2000.
Chipotle is known for their fresh and healthy food that tastes great. In recent years Chipotle announce that they will limit the use of GMO’s (genetically modified organisms) in their food. Chipotle was the first company to announce anything like this. Chipotle also states that all their meat is naturally raised by responsible owners. This statement supplements that Chipotle offers a greater quality in their food than other restaurants do.
Abstract Chipotle Mexican Grill is a well-known company that deals with fast food and has made significant and distinctive progress compared to other companies in the fast food industry. The company not only prepares food in front of customers but also makes sure that food is made with integrity. The integrity is enhanced by finding, evaluating, and choosing the right ingredients, which are from animals, farmers, and the environment (chipotle.com). These are the principles that serve to direct and guide the organization and help position it as a leader in the industry.
The moment I tried placing an order in Chipotle, my fantasy of American life shattered. After finding my three massive pieces of luggage from United Airlines’ baggage claim, I entered Chipotle to satisfy my starving stomach after a seventeen-hour flight. I waited around ten minutes in an excitement to try the renowned Chipotle burrito that everyone talked about. However, it took me less than ten seconds to decide to leave the place. I was trembling in frustration as I left the place.
With its mission statement of “Food with Integrity” Chipotle has seen success over the last decade. But with the increase of raw material input increasing, Competitors using pricing strategy to compete for its market share and the economic Chipotle is facing some though decision on if it should continue with its “Food with Integrity” which it can ill afford in these difficult times. In this paper, we will try address ways in which Chipotle can reposition its efforts to focus more on this unique offering without affecting their “Food with Integrity” Concept. By doing so, we believe that it can capture the important and growing segment of customers who are the health-conscious, organic-friendly consumer.

In first glance of the Grey Goose “Fly Beyond” ad, the asymmetrical balance and positioning of the product catch your attention. The Grey Goose bottle setup is shifted slightly to the right on a marble slab table, while the accompanying text is placed overhead on the upper left, creating harmony and unity — evenly distributing the ad’s content. Paying attention to the colours, there are no outstanding or unfitting colors that seem out of place. The colours mainly found in the ad — grey, white, and different shades of blue, are heavily exaggerated in the table’s contents and in both the background hues and text color as well. With the use of shallow depth of field, the ad executes heavy use of contrast.

Dolce and Gabbana is a high-end Italian clothing company that was founded by Stefano Gabbana in 1985 targeting women primarily, famous for their superior sartorial content. It was not until 1990 that menswear collections started to appear and made its entrance in Dolce and Gabbana stores. In 2007, Dolce and Gabbana released their spring/summer ready-to-wear collection that targeted individuals in the upper class who wanted to dress casually but still feel expensive. This advertisement caused controversy amongst women about objectification. However, the advertisement also targets the social group of men being represented as dominant, powerful and in control in order to sell clothes and the idea of confidence through wearing Dolce and Gabbana clothes.
