Chris Mccandless was never your ordinary kid. He was never much to show his anger to anyone. Like all humans Chris did have his faults (largely hypocrisy) but they were nothing major. Even with these unique differences Chris did grow up to be a good kid. Growing up Chris was always diverging from the norm, an anomaly. Even as far back as elementary school would he be “marching to a different drummer” (Krakauer 107). He even requested to be dropped out of his school's accelerated program which he was placed into for receiving a high score on a test. Chris wasn’t “antisocial”, in fact he many friends.
