For this assignment, I choose the prompt No. 4 which indicates that I need to rewrite a part of the story of Cinderella under the condition that the shoe fits one of the sisters. Since I am not very familiar with the original story, I am going to use the 1950 film version of Cinderella as the basis of the script. This short scene starts with the moment when the sisters are asked to try on the slipper and ends with the moment that the younger sister happily prepares to leave.
Summary of previous content: Cinderella went to the ball with fairy godmother’s help. She met the prince. While leaving the castle hastily since the fairy godmother’s magic was going to disappear, she accidently lost one of her glass slipper. In order to find Cinderella …show more content…

An attendant, who will proceed the fitting, is standing at the left side of the duke and holding the glass slipper covered by red silk. The stepmother and her two daughters, elder sister Drusilla and younger sister Anastacia, are standing in front of the duke and waiting for orders. Moves forward and says to the duke excitedly.) Your grace! I believe you find the love of the prince! Yes! My dear Anastacia is the one who danced with the prince at the ball! She is the one who left the glass slipper! She is the one who will become queen in the future! Oh, your grace! How exciting!
Duke: (Be shocked by the situation. Stands up and walks quickly to the front of Anastacia.) Oh, my lord! I found the girl! I did it! (Says to Anastacia.) Young lady, go and get prepared! I will take you to the king!
Anastacia: Yes, your grace! (She talks off the shoe and runs into her room.)
(The stepmother fills a cup with tea and presents to the duke. Duke takes over and talks with the stepmother. Drusilla is standing right by and shows jealous in her face. The attendant picks up the shoe and puts it back on the red silk.)

Anastacia: (Stands in front of the mirror. Says to herself.) Oh my goodness!! What just happened? Did I … did I fit in the shoe? Oh, yes! I did! I did! Oh my! I will be the queen!!
