The door was flung open to reveal the secret that it had been holding. The anxious onlookers within the arena leaned in their seats, trying to catch a better glimpse of the consequence, as the princess’s face was white with nervousness. Tears streamed down his lover’s face as she thought that it was better this way, for she was jealous of the woman behind the door to the left. She wished for her lover to never love another woman, and she had also longed for a good show. She would not have been able to bear witnessing the marriage of her love to another, especially this one. The crowd cheered, as they were pleased with the outcome. They had all known that this man was guilty; for no one was to speak out that he was not. They felt that he had taken the matter within his own hands. They stood and clapped with smiles on their faces before the bloody mess below. This all made the princess infuriated as the thoughts rushed through her head. Her father also rose to his feet to shout out with glee and to clap in honor. He too, felt that this justice was clearly fair and that this was the way it was to end for the princess’s lover.
