The book I decided to read for my January book report was the City Of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau and it is science fiction. The reason I chose this book for my report was because it is a very interesting book with many weird events and details that makes you never want to stop reading . The book makes you feel like you're one of the characters in the book. For many many centuries a very energetic generator has been giving light to an town underground called the City Of Ember. The city is only timed to last 200 years by the scientist also know as the “builders” created the light and its beginning to fade and flicker out. Its up to two young characters Lina Mayfleet and Doon Harrow to solve the mystery of the underground world. But are they up to it? …show more content…

As Well as not being able to breath we will eventually run out of food and water. The people from the City of Ember as know as the “Builders” had only supplied them with 200 years worth of food ,but they have lived their much longer. They couldn’t possibly have food transported down because they would have no way to receive it. It also has to be science fiction because the two young characters Lina Mayfleet and Doon Harrow are trying to discover something called a moveable light that will try to help them excape. They will need to find this light because they believe it's from unknown places. Lina and Doon use candles and matches to help them find the mysterious
