The Civil Rights Act of 1964 is a significant bill in the United States’ history that was signed into by John F. Kennedy. The Civil Rights Act outlawed discrimination based on race, color, faith, sex, or national origin. It also allowed all Americans the right to use all hotels, diners, auditoriums, retail stores, etc. The goal of this bill was too was to reduce racial turmoil and create harmony in all races and religions. The creation of the act was the milestone this country needed to be able to create other laws that allowed other freedoms. Because of the tolerance of the certain laws and the ability of laws to bend in the US is what is causing the decline of the United States. This bending of rules and regulation is part of what allowed the terrorist act to occur in Paris. Two of the assailants were know registered refugees from Greece. It is hard to make some laws black and white some certain situations do need to have a certain area of wiggle room. However, the rights of a business owner need to be taken into consideration more than the customers. If a business owner has a personal problem with someone because of something they do, are, or worship they should be able to refuse their service, what the business owner is providing can be found elsewhere and if the business owner is going to lose money not the customer. Racism and Religious beliefs or anti-gay are easy topics to talk about when it comes to discrimination. But, is it discrimination refuse service to a white male that is a two time pedophile sex offender shopping at baby gap or is legal to throw him out? No race or religion anti-gay or not would have a problem with this but the sex offender could sue the store if it is not in there polices to refuse service to pedophile sex
