Martin Luther King Jr is the most iconic civil rights leader in history. If anyone is unsure of his significance, they could simply take a trip to Washington, D.C to view his magnificent monument. Dr. King in the 1950s and 1960s, led protests and spoke on numerous occasions about injustice and segregation within the African American community. Although he had many Anti- Racism protest, his most legendary took place in Birmingham, Alabama. On Dec. 1, 1955, Parks disobeyed the bus driver when he told her to give up her seat in the colored section to a white person just because the white section was filled. She got arrested because she violated Alabama 's segregation laws. Although others African-Americans had already been arrested for the same thing, Park 's case went all the way to state, so she was the best candidate to challenge the court.

All in all, MLK is the most important person in the Civil rights movement. He and other African Americans conquered racism and segregation and ended it. He showed that people should always approach problems peacefully and never choose

Black and white Americans have always been separated until they were forced to go to school together. The segregation led from the 1800s to the 1960s. In the 1960s they decided to force black and whites to go to school together.
Segregation occurred for the entire civil rights movement and after it was ver segregation was abolished.
