The Civil War. Louis P. Masur’s book, The civil War: a Concise History, Is a book that gives an overview of the civil war from 18 to 1800, Providing multiple causes an consequences that emerged from the war. The book begins by reviewing the origins of the war. Chapter one covers the issues between northern and southern states and the tension over right and slave possession. The tension created a conflict that raised a number of political, social, and military events that then proceeded into a battle to abolish slavery from the colonies.
The book “Redemption; The Last Battle of The Civil War,” written by Nicholas Lemann focuses on one major politician during the reconstruction time period. Lemann illustrates the life of people in the south and the trials that the “Negros” faced. The conclusion of the civil war was supposed to be the end of racism and slavery, but white southerners continued to find ways to get around the new laws that were put into place. They created and passed “black codes” which, as the author says, “…legislated the freed slaves into a condition as close to their former one as it was possible to get without actually reinstituting slavery. ”(34)
Israel asks God to give them a king so they can be like the other nations (1 Sam. 8:5, 19-20). So God uses Samuel to appoint Saul, and then David, as the first kings over His people. Saul is a failure as a king, but David serves God as a faithful king, defeating Israel’s neighbors, enforcing God’s law, and moving God’s residence to
Frederick Douglass proclaimed that the American Civil War was not for “mere strife and territory,” but more so a “contest of civilization over barbarism.” Civilization was necessary with the rumor of insurrection from slaves. Slaves became more independent and intransigence with the initiative of freedom. Their initiative soon was granted by the executive order of Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation, it freed three million slaves in the Confederacy and counted them as a person instead of property. It was issued as a war measure of ten states in the South, to suppress rebellion during the American Civil War but it did not apply to the Union.
1. Civil War was the war between the USA and the Confederate States of America. 2. Eleven states left the union and formed their own country. These states were called the Southern States.
The Union’s initial aim for the war was simply to attract the Confederacy to come back to the Union and gather as a whole again. Abraham Lincoln did not incorporate initially whatsoever to eliminate slavery. In an interview discussing the matters of the Civil War, all Lincoln stated was “If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all slaves I would do it.” (http://theweek.com/articles/460827/today-history-lincoln-reveals-real-goal-civil-war) This changed, however, during the duration of the war.
In the mid-19th century, the United States was split into two, forced to fight against each other in the Civil War. The Civil War started because the South was feeling neglected by the Government. They felt as if all of the decisions that the Government had made, were done so to cater to the North, hence the start of the Civil War. After the Civil War, a War they lost, was in shambles. Their economy and society had been ruined from the loss of slavery and from the money that they owed for the damages they caused.
The Civil War assessed several questions from the Philadelphia Convention. One of which was the idea of slavery. There was a clear contradiction between the principles stated within the Declaration of Independence and the institution of slavery. The Civil War also impacted the identity of the United States. Rather than aligning with their respective state, people began to identify as a part of a single united entity, or the Union.
Civil War ended in 1865 and had positive and negative consequences. It paved the way for the fast development of commercialism and industrialization in all areas of the economy: industry, agriculture, trade. It saved the national unity of the country. This period was marked by strong development of economic as well as social and political spheres of the United States and Mark Twain accurately named this era the "Gilded Age". The development of the American industry led to the increase of the per capita income in the US.
During the 19th century, there was a huge conflict between the South and the North in the United States on whether black slaves should be freed and given rights—despite racism being predominant in the culture and slaves being the primary source of income for many plantation owners in the South. The North wanted to limit the spread of slavery and some even wanted to abolish it completely, while the South wanted slavery to remain. This led to the Civil War, in which Lincoln was president and led the North. Abraham Lincoln has always been seen and taught in schools as responsible for abolishing slavery, yet there are many overlooked abolitionists in the 19th century such as Harriet Tubman and John Brown. Although Lincoln did help pass the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863, he did not
Chapter Six: Current terrorist strategies In this moderp era, becausep most of the targeted western territories have managed to build strong security's and intelligence systems and structures inland, at the borders and overseas, it has become increasingly difficult for the terrorist organizations (enemies outside) to break into inland territories from outside to launch punitive lethal attacks on citizens and the public, with that they have shifted in tactics, with a significant increase in amounts of worrisome solo attacks from within. The strategy they have devised now is like the military tactics used by the separatist General Emilio Mola in the battle of the Spanish Civil War In October 1936. In this, his faction besieged Madrid with four columns of troops.
During this era, there was much history that was yet to be written. The Civil War is a great example of this. The Civil War began on April 12, 1861, and ended on May 9, 1865. It divided the United States, separating it into the Union and the Confederate States of America. The four years that this war raged was filled with destruction and bloodshed, with more than 600,000 soldiers killed.

And that’s what the people did in the Civil War. They fought for freedom, too. The Civil War started on April 12, 1861, and lasted for four years.
To each action there is a reaction. In the past there have been many incidents that have been caused because of greed, oppression, unfairness etc. the biggest one regarding American history would have to be the American Civil War. Everyone knows what the civil war is and what it is about. However, most people don’t know the major events that led up to the Civil War.
David White describes the history of the United States Military during a period post-Civil war from 1865-1898. He describes this era in a manner that described the chronological order of conflict, demobilization, and innovative growth of the U.S. Military. White describes in detail the utilization of these new technologies and weapon systems, and in his words the “professional introspection” of the U.S. Military. White captured the innovations during the civil war with quantitative data.
