A dystopian society is a society where everything, including knowledge, is controlled by a government. Due to the fact that everything is controlled by something, people lose their individuality and ability to think for themselves. The fact that they cannot think for themselves causes them to not know anything about the world around them. In the grim novel Fahrenheit 451, Bradbury uses Clarisse’s imagination, curiosity, and observation to depict how life has no point in a society that is controlled by everyone but you, everyone is alike, and there is no imagination.
