According to the short essay “Advice to Youth” written by Samuel L. Clemens was also known as Mark Twain, satire is defined as the usage of irony and or humor to reveal the truth of human behavior and the actions they commit to prove a point. Twain includes satire throughout his essay by stating humorous comments towards the concept of advice given to the young, while also giving advice himself. He incorporated a variety of different series of lectures typically given to the young as generation pass by, such as obeying your parents, respecting the elder, going to bed early, etc. For instance, he advised to the young to never use weapons carelessly and told a story behind it with a similar concept of someone using a gun recklessly and firing
