Lab 1: Climate Change and the Scientific Method This lab’s topic is about applying the scientific method and pollen grains in past environments. The first step in the scientific method is to ask a question. For this lab, the question was, “Can pollen grains tell past environments climate?” The next step is to conduct research. During my research, I learned about paleobotanists. I learned that they are “scientists who study ancient plant remains to recreate ancient eco systems and climates, analyze sediment samples for pollen and spores”.
