The stars shine bright on the vast stage of the galaxy. The awe-inspiring constellations have shifted and torn, casting stars light-years from their position, giving each a dancing partner. Each star compliments their companion and each shine brighter than they could have alone. The stars twinkle softly and watch me watching them. I wish to teach them, for I have lived a long, prosperous life and I know I can teach them so much. I sit in a swirling spiral galaxy of amber and allow the grains to whisper encouragement and pass on their secret wealth of knowledge. My passions are diverse and moving, sometimes crashing into each other and creating majestic mountains. Not yet well-adjusted, I spent quite a bit of my time servicing in my community. My favorite place to volunteer was at my VFW Post; I often served Sunday Breakfast. Most of my “co-workers” were veterans or family of a veteran, as were the customers. I always enjoyed working in the quaint kitchen and at the register; running back and forth was an exhilarating challenge, albeit a small one. I never complained that we were understaffed because it never occurred to me. I never mentioned that I ended up helping out with everyone’s jobs because it never occurred to me. I never complained that although I was young, I was still expected to work just as much, if not more, than some others because it never occurred to me. My dream is that we are all able to achieve our dreams without infringing on the rights or dreams of others, letting dreams ever expand and flow freely. In America, the people will help each other achieve their dreams by supporting and believing in their causes. The people will grow above and beyond the petty whisperings of those who wish to deceive. American society seems to force individuals into a prototype of the traditional American, however, nothing would more serve the land of the free than encouraging characters to flourish into a mighty nation of truly diverse individuals. The foremost dream of America is to create and nurture perfect, free individuals. To strive for this, we must possess a large variety of characters and create a safe environment for the full play of human nature to expand itself in numberless and even conflicting directions.
