I want the experience of becoming a Senate Youth Delegate because government and politics have always fascinated me. This fascination has always been a result of my love for the interaction, cooperation, and communication other nations. I have been to our nation’s capitol twice, and each time has been an amazing experience. Seeing where our government operates has been and always will be fascinating to me. The way the United States government is laid out is something I believe to be simply spectacular, and I believe the Constitution to be a work of art, and the most incredible document ever written.
Moreover, I hope to find other organizations and opportunities to serve others, either on or off campus, that will make others' lives better, possibly even becoming involved in initiatives run by the local school system, since I hope to be heavily involved in at least one of the local schools as I
By getting accepted as a Coolidge I will have the mentoring experience that I have always wished for. I will also get to become an impregnable leader through the training program. This is important because to improve a community one has to be an exemplary leader first. Furthermore, I would love to become a greater leader because currently in my generation, regrettably, only one member has gone to college. My parents unfortunately did not even get a full elementary education because of this I see on a daily basis how a life without proper education is like.
In our community, I always strive to help others and the environment, and the people all around. I have assisted in the community cleanup at my local library and also the garbage cleanup at the beach. These actions that I have made helped shape my amazing experience at Wisdom Lane Middle School and they will help me shape my future for the better. These actions helped me build great relationships with the teachers in my school and even the principal. These pillars have helped me succeed in my three years of middle school and help me prepare for the rest of my years no matter what school I go to.
In all of my Highschool career, I have developed numerous skills whether it be from being head of groups, able to speak in big crowds, and making sure that everyone understood their positions. Starting eighth grade, I had begun my journey by being a part of the Junior National Honor Society and becoming our classes representative, or as others say “Junior High valedictorian”. At this point in my life, I was able to realize that I demonstrated all the characteristics that a leader needed, and I was viewed to students and teachers as a mentor. After I had been promoted to High School, I was ambitious and challenged myself to be a part of Louder Than A Bomb poetry group. Freshman year was the Louder Than A Bombs first year at our High School which caused that year to be the group's building block.
No matter what time zone I am in, my phone buzzes most frequently when I am asleep. Whether a missed call from a friend in Kenya, an email from a musical collaborator in Canada, or a LinkedIn message from a U.K. investor in my educational startup, I eagerly wake each morning to many new notifications. Growing up, I traveled extensively, living on three different continents. In fact, my passport looked like my coloring book. Learning five languages and adapting to foreign environments while maintaining my identity, has taught me to value different skills, including networking.
I was determined to learn how to play video games, I showed them I can climb to the very top of the tree, and I developed a passion for sports. And now a few years later being apart of SkillsUsa has boost my confidence level. I also believe that becoming Regional President can give me that push to be a better me and I can inspire others to become better being themselves. Being commitment to SkillsUSA for the past 2 years has been one of the greatest experiences I've had during my high school years.
Through the experience of working as youth leader for freshman connection I have grown as a better leader. To help incoming freshman was incredible experience for me. I joined freshman connection to serve school and defiantly to get knowledge and team building skills out of it, so that it can help me make my college experience better. I think I have achieved all the goals that I wanted to through working as youth leader. Additionally, not only that but also to work on community service project on bullying has really allowed me to serve as teacher helper.
Have you ever wondered what is in your food? How it is made? How it is processed to become the way it is? In Wendell Berry ’s essay he explains how food has been changed to become the way it is. He wants you to eat responsibly because you have the right to know what makes your food and what is in it.
When the opportunity to become president of the Girl Up club presented itself, I immediately offered to take on the position. I joined the club at the beginning of my sophomore year and found myself completely intrigued with its message. I get to organize fundraisers, lead meetings, and create an environment in which the other members feel as though their opinion matters. Girl Up is a major part of my life and I carry the skills I have learned from being president to other areas of my
In my four years of high school, I have been very active in everything the school has to offer. I have filled up my after school hours playing sports, performing in plays and choral concerts, and working at the school to help teach the younger generations Language Arts. During my summers, I volunteer at summer school to assist in the math classes for middle school and high schoolers while I also have a job being a lifeguard. Basketball, softball, and golf are the sports that I’ve played over my high school career. I’ve participated in four years of basketball and softball, and three years in golf.
I write this addendum in support of and in good faith of full disclosure. Although I have no record or documentation for the events described below, and university records are destroyed after a two year period, I determined that the situation met the disclosure requirements of the character question. From July, 2010 to September, 2011, I was enrolled as a midshipman at the United States Naval Academy. Freshmen students are highly regulated and restricted in their actions on and off campus. Upperclassman have a direct and influential affect on the lives of freshmen students.
My mother and father have always wanted the best for me, like all good parents do. One of the many things that they expect from me is to receive a college education, something that they never had the chance to do. My parents always advise me to not to make the same mistakes as they did, to go to college so I can get a good job and not have to struggle in my life. With no alternative, my father had to drop out of school to help his family financially after his parents had gotten a divorce, and then he had received his GED.
Throughout my high school career, I was forced into many situations where I was challenged to connect with my peers and serve as a role model for future students. Whether it be my involvement in the school marching band, or helping students in community tutoring sessions, I have always made it my goal to better the people around me through my own efforts. Throughout my high school career, I have put forth my best effort to connect with my peers, transform individuals, and make a difference in my community. Joining the school marching band at the beginning of my freshman year of high school was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
For example, I am an active member of the FPC band. I have met a lot of new people being in that club that helped inspire me to make a bigger impact in my community. As I begin volunteering more time outside of school I realized how much I enjoyed dedicating my time to help those around me. Motivating others to do the same then became my goal for my future. My intelligence and intellect are also very important to me and thus have led me to this situation.
