I see myself being an engaged member of the WCU and Brinson Honors College community by being involved in community service opportunities, becoming a member of leadership organizations, and taking advantage of opportunities to study and serve in a different country or to participate in undergraduate studies. I plan to be engaged in the WCU community by being involved in all that I can be involved in. Specifically, I hope to become involved in at least one of the faith-based groups on campus, such as the Baptist Student Fellowship at WCU or the Campus Crusade for Christ. Becoming involved in faith-based organizations is important to me and will allow me to love God and love people better by learning more about God and participating in service projects that will share his love and truth. Additionally, I want to join a local Church family, where I hope to serve in various aspects of the Church, especially those that involve children, something that I am passionate about. Moreover, I hope to find other organizations and opportunities to serve others, either on or off campus, that will make others' lives better, possibly even becoming involved in initiatives run by the local school system, since I hope to be heavily involved in at least one of the local schools as I …show more content…
Being a part of these groups will likely be beneficial to my interpersonal skills and will challenge me to do something that will benefit other students. Likewise, I would also like to become involved in WCU's student government association as I think this would be a great opportunity to continue to hone the skills that I have been developing during my High School student government experience, while also learning to work with a larger and more diverse group of people than I have worked with
