Similar to other immigrants my family history is somewhat compelling. Starting with my grandfather who was exiled out of Egypt in 1959 primarily as a result of the "decolonization process and the rise of Egyptian nationalism”, my immediate family and I also left France in 2004 as a result of rising tension against Jews. The migration of my grandparents and parents, from a young age, cultivated a sense of determination in me to overcome obstacles. Arriving in Miami at age 5, I had to learned my third language, English, in order to attend school. I was determined to and successfully lost my accent and got tested into the gifted program after a year of school.

Working in the construction industry has been something that I have enjoyed doing for the last five years. What I enjoyed the most about construction is that every day brings something new. As each construction site is different with its own set of new challenges. I first started working in the field as an apprentice latching on to anybody that would teach me. After a while I had moved up to full time estimator and assisted in project management.
Growing up on a small cattle operation in central Oklahoma, my parents quickly instilled in me a love for the agricultural way of life, and that passion is what led me to become the 13th person in my family to attend Oklahoma State University. While my background and experiences are not very unique when compared to many of my great friends and classmates at OSU, my upbringing served as a motivation to excel and succeed in all of my endeavors and pursue a career in agricultural law. Coming from a small school, I had very limited opportunities to involve myself in extracurricular activities. Naturally, I felt like a kid in a candy shop when I first stepped onto campus and applied to be in many organizations throughout my first year. I strived

I expect my college experience to equip me with knowledge and skills on how to become an effective and influential elementary school teacher and I know that ACU has a successful education program that will provide me with internships, classroom experience, and courses that will teach me how to impact and educate even the most challenging students in a classroom. Furthermore, since I will be away from my church back in Dallas if I'm accepted into ACU, I expect to maintain a stronghold of my faith even while I'm far from home. God is the center of my life and I want to grow even closer to Him and others who love Him like I do, that is why I'm applying to ACU where teachers and classmates value their relationships with God and can help me sustain
One of the most appealing things about University of Oregon is the active inclusion and constant work towards creating a more expansive community. I hope to study Philosophy with a minor in ethnic studies or women and gender studies. These majors I feel will help me pursue my personal goal of a diverse education. As a woman from a conservative part of the east bay with a unique connection to the LGBTQ+ community, I feel that I have a lot to offer to the diverse discourse that The University of Oregon offers. Additionally being a person of privilege I see that I have a responsibility to take a set back and listen to those who have less fortunate geopolitical locations.
All along, I have managed to maintain the principles of ethics and integrity, a strong sense of purpose, and morality, which binds me rigidly. Appointment as student leader in all stages of my school and college life has presented me with opportunity to interact with people, develop organizational and communication skills. My interest for The University of Texas derives from my interest in the Architecture program. The past summer I had the opportunity to participate in the Architecture Academy at the University of Texas and the overall experience solidified my interest in Architecture and the overall University. I appreciated the sense of being able to have a small college in a rather large school. I enjoyed exploring Austin’s culture and I was drawn to the art and music of the City.

The University of Chicago, as I know it now, satisfies my desire for a particular kind of learning, community, and future. The University of Chicago’s website states: “Our goal is to offer students a wide range of out-of-class experiences that build skills in preparation for academics and life in a community of scholars.” Throughout life, I have enjoyed out-of-class experiences related to what was currently being taught in school. These experiences have not only helped me understand was being taught, but they have helped me enjoy the subjects that I did not so highly favor. For this reason, I concur with this promotion style of educational development due to the fact that it brings me the same joy as I used to have when I woke up for school
In society, individual minds are shaped to view the world in different perspectives. I am an Indian student living in Sacramento, California, a city with many diverse communities. Living in this city has given me the opportunity to be exposed to various cultures and to share my culture and history with students of other backgrounds and cultures. Attending USC’s summer program will allow me the opportunity to study on a large diversified campus and give me exposure to even more cultures and educational programs. The summer program at USC would also give me a first look at college life and the opportunity to expand my knowledge of what to expect from college while studying on a well-recognized campus.
Much to the relief of my parents, my pat answer of a professional athlete, to “What do you want to do in the future?” evaporated when evaluations indicated I had no talent. Not knowing what careers suited me, I participated in summers programs at Ithaca, Adelphi, Syracuse respectively explored Sports Management, Business, and Engineering careers and worked on my English. I had great experiences, especially at Syracuse, but was still at a loss as to a profession.
The heart of New York City is New York University. By joining the network of NYU, I will be able to study at an institution that has a long tradition of academic excellence among private universities in the United States. Additionally, I will be able to be part of an internationally recognized learning network with locations all across the globe. It would be a pleasure to study at a globally recognized university. A friend of mine who is a recent graduate from NYU College of Nursing has praised the program and conveyed to me a very positive experience.
