As I strive to achieve great academic success and leadership at Montana State University, I hope that my previous experiences will catalyze this process. Using my interests in academics, participation in extracurricular activities, and my own strengths, I hope to become a strong leader. I know I can achieve being both a scholar and an example for other students by utilizing my previous experiences. When I start my journey at Montana State, I expect to find students with common academic interests as myself. My goal is to connect with these students, who appreciate education in a similar way I do, in order to help each other understand topics or lessons that we will learn.
UT Austin’s most recent president who dealt with some heavy political debacles during his time as president and led some incredible transformations of this university conveyed his own guidance. Growing up he learned, after being invited to sit with the popular kids and hearing them ridicule his other friends, that it is important to place oneself in these situations where you stretch yourself and grow. These situations allow to form one’s own morals, ethics and character. After high school, he joined the Navy and found the importance of exploring the world. Once done with his service, he attended Law School and instead of following the typical routine of joining a law firm, he realized his true passion was teaching.
I plan to contribute as an active participant within the Living Learning program by attending study groups and help other with my finding/ recommendations. As a Regents’ scholar, I plan to exhibit the values and friendliness of a great community member. I will be actively involved in events and programs geared towards the community goal. I expect to interact with my fellow students daily, and bring the attitude and character of what Texas A&M stands for. I will participate in as many events as my schedule will allow to create a better sense of community and maybe find a life long friend.
Immediately after graduating from Riverdale High School in 2009, I started my undergraduate career at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). Upon entrance to MTSU, I believed that my career path was in the field of pharmacy. I envisioned graduating from MTSU after only four years and would be directly on to pharmacy school thereafter. Towards the middle of the first semester, I quickly realized that this would not be the career path for me. I cut back on my course load and worked diligently to finish the semester.
I would like to attend Texas A&M University of Corpus Christi because it has one of the best nursing programs. I have been accepted into this university. It is close to my hometown which makes me feel safe. Attending the university will be a good experience for me.
I am interested in Howard University because it is an HBCU that encompass the themes of cultural diversity and education. Your commitment to scholars ensures me that at your school I will be right at home. Since I intend on on going down a medical path, I know that Howard University will provide me with best resources to follow my dreams. As a child I was always interested in the worlds around me and how things worked. As a result I participated in a Summer Enrichment Program located at Indiana University in Bloomington.
As I think of the University of Mississippi, the aspect that most impresses me, and is an addition to my desire to immerse myself in this prominent learning community is the University's outstanding resources. I am very attracted to the opportunity to explore and learn at the University of Mississippi's science departments. Science has been my academic passion ever since I entered middle school. Since then, I have always wanted to get into the medical field to become a neurologist. I believe the brain is a black box with endless mysteries waiting to be explored.
The majority of my life has been spent placing critical life events and accomplishments onto a timeline. For instance, it has been twenty-one years since I first wrapped my teddy bears in bandages and diagnosed their illnesses. It has been eleven years since I decided to become a nurse. It has been seven years since I was first admitted to Texas A&M University and struggled with the pressures of doing well in college while balancing a personal and family life. It has been almost three years since I last stepped foot on Texas A&M soil.
Personal Statement The University of North Texas (UNT) Dallas College of Law's location, in the heart of Dallas, and its accessibility from Waxahachie is a major draw for my selection of this specific school. In addition, I’m drawn to the diverse student population that the school targets in their recruitment efforts and the innovative manner in which the school aims to educate its students through hands-on education and not just lectures. My desire upon graduating from Law School is to return to Ellis County, where I spent my youth, to continue the law practice, with my parents, for the goal of marrying my law services with my drive and passion for giving back to the community. My interest in Japanese arts and culture has propelled me to live in Tokyo during my gap year between high school and college. Staying with a local family, I explored many aspects of Japanese culture not only by auditing at local high schools but also by learning Japanese traditional art style, wood printmaking. My stay at Tokyo has later persuaded me to return to Tokyo after graduation. While at Penn, I continued my exploration through joining the Japanese Student Society and taking advanced Japanese language courses. As someone who foresees herself pursuing a career in Tokyo after graduation, I was very pleased to learn of the Global Internship Program (GIP) in Tokyo from my Japanese professor.

A freshly-baked chocolate chip cookie and a warm smile was all it took for me to realize what true hospitality looks like. As I visited Baylor for the first time, I became surrounded not only by a beautiful campus but also a rich campus community. At Baylor, strong academics is just one part of a larger mission, where students are truly dedicated to both leadership and service. As someone who is passionately involved in my school, church, and community, I believe that I represent what it means to be a Baylor Bear.
At some point between my graduation from the University of Kansas in 2011, and the opening of my graduate career at Arizona State University, I began to realize that the great majority of the literature which resonated strongest with me came directly from or was somehow closely affiliated with the modernist period. It was this dawning recognition which led me to ASU in 2013, as my awareness of the period’s impact on my life began to gel, an awareness that recognized the coherent progression from a youthful interest in Rex Stout, to a teenage one in William Faulkner and Virginia Woolf, to an adult passion for Ezra Pound and his mystifying Cantos. With this recognition came an urgent need, a demand to understand the draw of works from this period and to find a way to share the excitement about language which I experienced in reading them with others. My master’s degree study at ASU provided me with the tools and opportunities for beginning to tackle these concerns. I worked extensively with Gregory Castle on projects in the field of modernism, developing from a relationship established in a course on aesthetic theory in my second semester.
Energy is the lifeblood of manufacturing. It is a top five operating expense for most organizations. At Honeywell, I learned interacting with various business leaders as part of my job that most of them recognize that they pay up to 8% of their total revenue on energy, and that it is a major part of their operating expense, yet most of them pay lip service to managing these cost. Most leaders focused on quarter to quarter while lacking long-term view of profitable growth and transition to a more sustainable energy future, one that meets economic needs while minimizing the impact on the environment. UNC has been a premier institution where it shapes leaders who have the courage to do what’s right and knowledge to make it happen.
I am happy that I chose Colorado State University for apply. I came to CSU campus for first time with my wife for tour with the group and student mentor in June. I really liked their the open campus that have environment friendly and more trees to feel spiritual. I have been asking around about pros and cons for this campus before I come to visit, but for me, I got lots of good comments about CSU and suggests me to go there to check out. CSU amazed me because I really liked what they have on campus and it made me to feel more welcome.
