Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) has influenced me in many ways. First, it was the school's amazing nursing program. The school of nursing was established in 1953 and it awards undergraduates the bachelor of science degree. WSSU’s nursing program was ranked number 3 in the nation, and is continuing to grow and enhance the program. I have been given the chance to get into the nursing program, with the help from the Guaranteed Admission Program (GAP).
I chose Research College of nursing Accelerated BSN Program because of the reputation Research has for training skilled, well prepared nurses. I am sure that if given the opportunity, I will excel in this program, as well as in the nursing field. I'm passionate about nursing and I have a lot that I can offer the healthcare field. Combined with naturally caring, I'm highly enthused, gifted, and work well in high stress atmospheres. My desire for this career field is a big stimulus for me, and I am devoted to prosper in it.
BACKGROUND Knowing the background of the job of interest not only provides an upper hand but an idea of what type of atmosphere it has been throughout the years. Knowing the history, key individuals, purpose statement and values, and mission statements can sometimes persuade applicants to apply for a job with the institution. Encountering this information has become much easier with the use of the internet and search engines. History “Texas A&M University and Prairie View A&M University were first founded as land-grant colleges in 1876,” years later the A&M system was established in 1948 by the Texas Legislature.
I plan to contribute as an active participant within the Living Learning program by attending study groups and help other with my finding/ recommendations. As a Regents’ scholar, I plan to exhibit the values and friendliness of a great community member. I will be actively involved in events and programs geared towards the community goal. I expect to interact with my fellow students daily, and bring the attitude and character of what Texas A&M stands for. I will participate in as many events as my schedule will allow to create a better sense of community and maybe find a life long friend.
I strongly believe that Appomattox Regional Governor’s School is going to improve my writing. I want more of an education in my focus area, literary arts, and in my academics. I think that Appomattox Regional Governor’s School is the best school to fulfill what I expect is going to be best my future. I hope to have experiences that will change my life and future. I have high hope and strong determination to accomplish my dreams of being a creative writer.
I want to attend a very established Medical school that aligns with my core beliefs in life, provide support for me while I am enrolled and train me to become a very efficient physician. I am very passionate about improving the quality of health and service to the community. Catering to individuals most in need is also embedded in Wayne State University School Of Medicine's mission and curriculum. My goal is to work with underserved populations, and having this community connection during my undergraduate medication will be essential for my future.
I am not like other sixteen year olds. I find a better use of my time making the world a better place than partying or loafing around. While my peers engage in such activities I work towards broadening my awareness of the world around me. It’s the small things, namely learning about foreign cultures or giving back to my community that make me different. At sixteen years old, I am graduating from Inlet Grove Community High School and have been accepted to Florida Atlantic University.
Why do I want to be a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority incorporated? Since I was a little girl I had grown up on the expectation that once I got to college I would pursue joining the organization Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority incorporated. Because this was instilled in me since I could really talk I never really question the idea. But once I got to college I began to truly question why I wanted to be a member.
It has been such an honor and privilege serving as your Miss Savannah State University. Beginning my reign, I knew it was not going to be easy however, I had a duty to represent my university to the best of my ability. The question that I receive the most is, what is it like being Miss Savannah State University and what does it means to me. Being Miss Savannah State University is the epitome of what it means to be a true leader. It screams hard work, dedication, respectability for myself and my university, grace, and poise.
A freshly-baked chocolate chip cookie and a warm smile was all it took for me to realize what true hospitality looks like. As I visited Baylor for the first time, I became surrounded not only by a beautiful campus but also a rich campus community. At Baylor, strong academics is just one part of a larger mission, where students are truly dedicated to both leadership and service. As someone who is passionately involved in my school, church, and community, I believe that I represent what it means to be a Baylor Bear.
In the fall I will be going to Kent State University and majoring in Fashion Design. I want to show the world that clothes and the way we dress is just another form of expression. Fashion doesn’t have to be expensive and garish, it can be fun and creative and expressive. I want to help people show you they are on the inside, on the outside. I hope to start my own clothing line after.
When I first saw Perkiomen, I remember think I really wanted to attend school here and I could picture myself as a student here. I would like to attend an independent school for a variety of reasons, and I will contribute to Perkiomen’s environment. I would like to attend a private school, specifically Perkiomen School, due to many reasons. If I attended the Perkiomen School, I would be able to participate in entrepreneur, a class that my school doesn’t offer.
I’m currently taking a welding class in High School and I have already achieved a couple of certs. This year i’m entering the TSA competition hoping to win district and maybe even be a state champion. The reasons why I would like to attend Tulsa Welding School is to further my education on welding and it’s also a small sized school located close to home. Tulsa Welding School is only specific for welding and pipefitting and doesn’t have other courses, so you can focus only on what you are really there for.
A person’s passions are one of their most defining characteristics because once you know person’s passions, you know to what they are willing to dedicate everything in their life. Passions can surpass reason, doubt, and even fear to shape how a person explores questions and confronts challenges. My passions define not only how I spend my time but also who I spend it with, where I spend it, and how I use my other resources. One aspect of my life in which my passions are apparent is within my hobbies. I love spending time outdoors.
Find that special thing you can bring to the movement. This is the advice I received from human rights activist Cleve Jones at a speech he gave recently on Western’s Bowling Green campus. He said everyone has something special about them that they can contribute to the movement for social change and toward a goal of equality and peace for all people. Cleve Jones has fought for this goal for most of his life, and he has seen great social change occur. However, there is still much to be done.
