I personally believe that UNC Wilmington will allow me to grow academically as a student as well as an adult. Being from a small town in Maine I have always been the type of person to try new things and live to the fullest. When I decided to go to college, my mind was set on staying close to home my first year and getting the feel of what it is like. I strongly feel I am a very independent person and enjoy the challenges of doing things on my own. I have changed my mind many times on a career path I wish to pursue I don’t find it easy for someone my age to know exactly what they want to do for the rest of their life.
I hope to bring diversity to all who walk on the campus. My background has shaped me into the intelligent African American woman I am today. Without growing up in the “hood”, I may have not been able to find the best career that interested me. I also would not have been able over all the challenges thrown at me. Instead I remained determined and motivated so that I was able to achieve all of the goals set before me.
I want to go to Hoosier Girls State so I can better my community when I return. I can use the new leadership skills that I acquire at Girls State to help run my school’s Student Council, National Honor Society, and Sunshine Society. Leadership skills are very important for me because I am currently the Vice President of Sunshine Society, and I will be campaigning for President next year. I hope to continue to be an efficient leader for our Sunshine members, and lead by example for the underclassmen.
I want to be admitted into UW Oshkosh to help me have a better education and brighter future. My high school diploma is the foundation of my education but my college education will be the main structure for my future. UW Oshkosh will provide me with more than just a degree, it will provide me with an experience that I don’t think I can find in any other college. I know UW Oshkosh is the right college for me. I am a good student for UW Oshkosh because I plan to be an involved member of the Oshkosh campus community, I am a hard worker, and I know getting a degree is how I will obtain a career I want.
Why do I want to be a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority incorporated? Since I was a little girl I had grown up on the expectation that once I got to college I would pursue joining the organization Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority incorporated. Because this was instilled in me since I could really talk I never really question the idea. But once I got to college I began to truly question why I wanted to be a member.

Statement of Purpose Obtaining a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership through Liberty University has always been a goal since receiving my Master of Education in Administration and Supervision through Liberty. It is a natural part of my educational and spiritual growth which I have long wished to pursue. I feel that my wealth of experience and education in the field of elementary education has prepared me for the next steps, which will be a doctoral degree in the field of education. Throughout my life I have strived to walk in the “light” of the Lord and continue to strengthen my walk with each passing day.
Growing up I remember from a very early age being completely captivated by Fashion. My love for Fashion has continued to follow me from the early experiences of watching the red carpets of award shows and being completely infatuated with the ladies long gowns and the vibrant colors of the dresses. To following me through elementary school and loving Art and being able to put colors together to the people in my life always taking notice from an early age, this has continued to follow me all through my academic journey and even to where I am today.
As someone passionate about making a positive impact in the world, problem-solving, and working in the medical field, I am excited to re-apply for admission to the Master of Social Work program at West Texas A&M University (WTAMU). After a two year break, returning to this program will provide me with the education I need to receive my masters in social work. Ultimately, I plan to earn my clinical license in social work to continue my career in a medical setting with more clinical capabilities. In the past, the master's program at West Texas A&M has helped me gain the skills and experience necessary to become an effective social worker and advocate for those in need. I look forward to continuing my education at West Texas A&M, learning more
My number one goal and aspiration is to make a difference in my community. I grew up in a community that is filled with homelessness, poverty, drugs, and youth being on the street. I want to take charge and clean up the streets by first giving back to my community. By giving back I want to first open up a homeless shelter for women and children. This shelter will allow women who are living on the streets with their children to come and stay in a shelter until they able to get something on their own.
“Ammaarah, why are you so Vogue?” something my friends say to me when I am reading the issue of Vogue, they are definitely right. To me, fashion is a sense of historical contextual knowledge. It is a form of a stunning interchange of what survives the process of what people wear. The most alluring aspect of studying a fashion related course is that fashion can be found in many forms of art, culture and history; developing ideas, experimenting with new styles and finding a real passion with different materials and textures to create your own distinctive look.
I want to earn my way up to a good university and earn my degree, apply to an outstanding dental school and start my long years of residency that lie before me. One of my goals in the future is to help others in need for medical attention. It makes me happy when I see others happy. I want to give back to my community and help others so I can earn the respect that I’ve always wanted.
It began last year, when I was a second year student at Macquarie University. I am studying a Bachelor of Arts (Marketing and Arts, Practice and Management). Ideas about being about to create novel and exciting solutions for not only to buyers, but to the whole world, brings me to joy. I love my passion for art (music, drawing, fashion, dancing and graphics design) and creating strong brands.

Fashion is my method of self-expression. The clothes we choose to wear gives us control over how others perceive us and affects how we feel about ourselves. From wearing black at the Golden Globes in support of the Time’s Up movement to the traditional Chinese Qi Pao, clothes can show solidarity without words or act as a way for us to connect to our cultural heritage. This is why fashion is important to me, because it allows me to tell a story about who I am and who I aspire to be. I have chosen to further my Management studies at the London College of Fashion because the MA Fashion Design Management covers themes essential for managing a successful fashion brand, which has always been a dream of mine.
