Softball has always been a big part of my life from the age of 7-17 and it will continue to be a big part of my life once my career is over. I started softball around the age of 7 with my town’s rec league. At this point in my life softball was a way to meet new people and to stay active due to being new to the Whiteland area. Playing softball for the first time was very nerve racking because most of the girls on my team were very experienced players and had played a few more years than I had. Although these players had a little more experience than me, I was able to keep my skills up with theirs. I decided that I wanted to continue to play softball and play on a more competitive team, Southside Storm. Southside Storm was a local travel that consisted of multiple players that were multi-sport athletes trying to find what their passion was. It was very competitive while still maintaining a fun atmosphere. After 2 years on Southside Storm, my parents and I looked into other programs like Indiana Gators and Indiana Magic Gold. I had gone to a couple of try outs to see how I compared to other athletes and if I really wanted to join a top tier softball program. I ended up trying out for Indiana Gators- Boggs and was offered a spot, but I chose to stay one more year with my local travel team. After finishing my last year with Southside Storm many players on the team found their passion in other sports like basketball. I found my passion in softball and thought it was the right time to join a top tier softball program. I went to a try out for an Indiana Magic Gold team and made the team. I played with Magic Gold for about 3 years where we traveled around the country playing some of the best teams in the United States. After some inconsistencies in coaching and the D1 or bust college approach I felt it was no longer a fit for my softball
