Research Question: Should College Tuition cost as much as it does?

Thesis Statement: The College tuition has gone as far as having many college students being buried in debt for all their early life, lowering the tuition tremendously would unshackle the chains of debt that has affected over 71% of the college students that attend today.

One of the hottest topics of this generation is whether college is too expensive for most students/goers. Over $70 billion is spent on college tuition annually, that’s crazy considering more than half of the people that go are in student debt. In 1980 it was $2,100 but became $7,600 in 2010 and has only exceeded that since.

One of the promises of a modern college education is to give students the skills to thrive in a high-tech workforce. To learn those skills, students need access to the latest technologies at school: computer-aided drafting software, powerful workstations to run advanced calculations, videoconferencing suites for collaborating with international students and faculty and so on [source: Archibald]. Those technologies not only require investments in expensive equipment, but also the IT staff to install and maintain them.
While these investments greatly enhance the student learning experience, they do not improve the efficiency of the teaching process. It simply costs more money to educate the same number of people. This inefficiency problem is driving the push toward low-cost online
