Most high school students graduate and begin to prepare for college with the mindset that their college experience will be the same as it was in high school. They will soon be awakened by the reality of the different lifestyle college has to offer. The cost of college can become pricey between tuition, books, and living expenses. College also offers a more advanced social environment than high school.
Firstly, the cost of college can become extremely expensive compared to high school because of the cost of living, students tuition, books, and transportation. In college you have more assignments to do that are manly on the students own time. Students will be given assignments to finish and are required to keep up with when work is due. College students are usually given a rubric to abide by in the beginning of the course that’ll include the assignments that’ll be given throughout the semester, requirements of the student depending on the professor, and which days that there will be a test/exam. It is not by any means the professors’ responsibility to remind students of due dates and course criteria nor do majority of them do so just out of generosity. In high school, course work and assignments will usually be done before the end of class and during class. Teachers tend to remind students of when certain assignments are due and usually the majority of the assignments given in high school will not take any more than one hour to complete. College course work can take an average of two to eight hours to complete depending of the assignment and will be a higher percentage of their final grade as to high school work doesn’t really affect your overall grade for the
