Being a senior in high school people are asking where you are going to college. The next question they ask is how are you going to pay for it. College is expensive and you will end it in debt. College is expensive so it would be wise to apply to all the scholarships you can. The college I want to go to cost $30,000 to go to a year. That cost does not include room and board and a meal plan. To stay out of as much debt as possible a student needs to learn how to budget money. It would be wise to take multiple personal finance classes. College classes are going to be much more demanding and have a lot more works than most classes in High School do. I am able to work at least five hours a day, and still get all my homework done in the same night and I never go to bed any later than eleven. I am a workaholic though, and I feel like I need to be working to stay busy, or I would probably get in trouble. In College, I will not be able to work as much as I usually do, therefore, I will not be able to make as much money as I am used to. If I don't have as much money as I am used to, there is no way I will be able to spend as much money as I like. Budgeting money can be hard if you have never done it before, and with that being said, it's going to be really hard at first. There are things that you might have to cut out in order to follow this budget. Personally, I will have to cut out coffee and buying clothes whenever I want, because I won't have that kind of money to spend on just whatever I want, when I have to provide for myself because my mom won't be there to buy things for me anymore; or make me dinner. The school I want to go to is The University of Wyoming, in Laramie, Wyoming, and it is around twenty thousand dollars a year. I know I will not be getting that much money in scholarships, since I don't have the top of the line grades, and I also didn't have the highest ACT score, but at the same time, there are student loans, and I will definitely get a few scholarships. I do know that I am for sure going to have to cut out all my coffee purchases, because I easily spend over one hundred dollars on coffee every month, when in reality, I should be saving that money for bigger and better things. With me, when I want something, I buy that thing.
